Shindig under spinnaker

We've had a couple of light weather races recently. Last week was only 5 - 7 knots true, hardly enough to get the boat moving. After a poor start where we were run over by teh bigger yachts we parked up in no breeze for quite a while before we got moving. Consequently we were last to the first mark. Ouch! Extremely embarrassing. The boat picks up downwind though and seems to come to life under spinnaker. We seem to have boatspeed on most of the cruising boats downwind, even most of the larger yachts.
